Okanagan Valley and Mount Revelstoke National Park

The first three days of our journey we manly spent in the car and just stopped to have a look at the scenery. Okanagan valley was very dry and looks a bit like southern Europe, it's the fruit and wine area of Canada.

On Tuesday we reached Revelstoke and were lucky to find a very nice Resort to stay. As it's built for winter and seven kilometers out of the city, it was really cheap and empty. We had a chalet that's normally for 12 people on our own, even with a private Whirlpool. From Revelstoke we drove to Mount Reverlstoke National Park and hiked to Lake Miller. The countryside is so beautifull!!! It looks a bit similar to Switzerland, but everything is bigger and often you don't see anything but forest and mountains. We didn't see a bear, but marmots and a kind of "Steifenhörnchen".
