St. Malo: Great to walk on the old city walls and look at the city and the ocean

Ohama
Beach
and Pointe du Hoc: Places were the Americans defeated the Germans in world war 2. Impressive cemetery within beautiful nature. Scary to walk in the old bunkers where the shoot out.

Ile de Ré and La Rochelle: On this Island you get anything you wish for a holiday: lovely village, beaches, museums, lots of biking ways, old buildings, oyster farming, etc. way too much for one day… I’ll be back!
Oyster Farm

Médoc: Part of the famous Bordeaux wine area, beautiful “Châteaus” which you can unfortunately only look at from outside as a “backpacking” tourist

Chateau Pichon Longueville

Dune du Pilat: Highest dune in Europe, people were crawling on it like ants; the most crowded parking field I’ve ever seen, there were even parked cars in the middle of the roundabout
