My first week at work

Actually I don't really know where to start, it already happened quite a lot this week...

Maybe I better try to look back with keywords:

welcome speech/apéro: nice to get to know the people, fancy location

IT training: tons of information, way to much to keep

first days in the office: again nice welcome, setting up the office, trying to remember the IT stuff, doing small task like copying etc., reading audit reports, completing the first parts of a learing programm about independency..

people: nice, helpful, young, friendly

...so far I'm absolutely happy, altough I haven't got the feeling that I've done anything very productive for the company so far (hope/think the first week was meant like this).

Looking forward my feelings are mixed. I learnt that I'll be working for a global concern in Lausanne for almost the whole duration of my traineeship. On one hand I'm excited because I'll get the chance to work in an international team (American, Canadian, Hungarian, Ukraine, Swiss) on a big task. On the other hand I have no clue what my task will be and if my professional knowledge and my knowledge of English will suffice. Another thing is the choice between the way to Lausanne-Bussigny every day or lonely nights in a hotel. :-/ At least I can go with the leader of the mandate by car, which takes only an hour.
Well, I'll see more about that next week.

Sunday in a week I'll see my collegues, who started with me, again and travel with them to the Netherlands for an induction seminar for two weeks. Content of the agenda: loads of sessions about audit, trip to Amsterdam, formal dinner, party themes: James Bond and 70ies, and we should bring some stuff from our country to exchange with participants from other countries... sounds familiar, doesn't it??? :-)
Maybe I'll even have the chance to meet an AIESEC friend on Sunday, will see...

That's it. After I've ironed all my business clothes, I'm exhausted and just want to watch TV and go to bed...
